Aloe Vera

Aloe vera ranks among the oldest known medicinal plants: As early as 2200 BC, its benefits were extolled on a Sumerian clay tablet. The plant from the lily family contains more than 200 different active substances, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, polysaccharides, enzymes and phytosterols. In Mediterranean and African folk medicine, it has always been regarded as a remedy for burns, irritations and skin dryness.

Jojoba

The jojoba bush is the only genus of plant in the monotypic species Simmondsia. The seeds resemble nuts and contain a wax that liquefies at room temperature. So, unlike other plant oils, this is not a fat-based oil - with valuable fatty acids, Provitamin A and Vitamin E.

Sunflower

botanical term for sunflower, Helianthus annuus, is derived from the Greek words helios (sun) and anthos (flower). The name comes from Greek mythology, and is mentioned in a poem by Ovid.

Type of ingredient: Seed oil from certified organic

Cosmetically relevant effect:

• Light and mildly conditioning oil with a high content of linolenic acid and a rather low content of saturated, long-chain fatty acids

• Calms the skin with α-tocopherol

• α-tocopherol also protects the skin's lipids from oxidation, and promotes the absorption of the oil
